Uri International's Coconut Oil Has Replaced Butter And Oil In Our House. Great Whole Food Nutrition, That Our Kid's Love!

WOW, learning more about whole food nutrition can seem like a daunting task. There is so much to learn about how the body works and what food will actually promote good health. And then here is the other thing - who can you really believe? I got a pretty good lesson last week in discernment, I was talking with a group of women and they were curious how I had lost about 25 pounds in just a couple months time. I of course began telling them about my struggle with Systemic Candida and the very strict diet I must maintain in order to get my body back in proper balance; little did I know that one of the women in the group was a family practitioner. I had instantly liked this woman and I respect her opinion on medical matters because I know her to be a woman who seeks out truth. I decided to ask her opinion on coconut oil since I am currently reading "The Coconut Oil Miracle" by Bruce Fife. She instantly rejected it as anything good because it is a saturated fat and that is supposed to be bad for your heart. It was so cool to be able to talk to her about it and explain a little about the theory of why it is actually very good for you according to this book. I am not sure I convinced her that it was a good thing in the small amount of time we had (and I am only on chapter 4 of the book) but I am sure that I gave her some food for thought.
I was actually recommended coconut oil by my own care physician who is a naturopathic NP. I don't really expect a typical family practitioner to confirm nutritional remedies; they are highly educated and rely heavily on scientific documentation of research with little focus on nutrition. I believe we will always need to have a balance between medical practices and live whole food nutrition, what’s the saying 'An apple a day keeps the doctor away'. It is important for each person to see someone they really trust for medical advice and then to also be discerning in the advice given, not everybody is perfect and you are your own best judge of what works for your body. Seek out knowledge, pray for wisdom and discernment to know how to use that knowledge. God is good and faithful to deliver.
I will be sharing some of what I have learned from this book, I am very impressed with coconut oil and have replaced all my oils as well as my butter with it. I also love the taste of it and so does my kids. Here is a testament to its taste, I use Uri International's coconut oil to sauté sweet onions to serve over fish, meat or even steamed red potatoes (I know what you are thinking - none of that is raw food! Hey I am a work in progress:). My kids who typically hate onions started to ask for seconds on the onions! They also now ask for   coconut oil on their toast, I love when the whole family gets involved with the nutritional changes that I am trying to implement. That’s another reason why I love Uri International's products like coconut oil, they taste great and I feel good about feeding them to my family.

Check Out Feast Nutrition's New Blog For Maximizing Health And Wealth!

Thank you for visiting our new blog, we are eager to share with you our new found passion for living an organic whole food lifestyle. We only recently got turned on to a lifestyle of organic whole food and we are still learning and making changes to our daily living to incorporate this healthier way of life. It has been a lot of fun searching out different health food and coop stores and meeting other people who are also passionate about feeding their bodies with good nutrition. Our goal for this site is to help and encourage others who are interested in changing their lives with a realistic approach to eating more raw, live whole foods. We hope to share with you our success and even our failures with learning to live an organic whole food lifestyle which is a real challenge after a lifestyle of eating refined, processed food. We will be sharing articles, some written by us and some that we find a must read on all topics related to living an organic whole food lifestyle. We’ll also share recipes that are working for us, books, movies and videos you might find helpful and interesting. One of our goals is to also educate and enlighten you to the horrifying practices that are being used in our food supply.  Through the many changes we have started to incorporate in our lives we have had the great pleasure in learning how to turn a passion for whole food nutrition into an exciting home based business.

Mike (my husband) and I have lived most of our lives unaware of what we were eating and what it was doing to our bodies. We knew we needed to eat ‘right’ or we would run the risk of such diseases as cancer, diabetes, and heart disease but we really didn’t know how to eat ‘right’. ‘Knowing’ is not what calls us to action; its belief that changes our lives. We had no idea that it was going to take a strange medical diagnosis to change our belief about food before we could really get on board with eating ‘right’. About 3 months ago, I (Julene) was told that I had Systemic Candidiasis. There are about a 100 different symptoms that are connected to Systemic Candidiasis, my doctor recognized it first because of my severe anemia and excessive sinus infections. What was my first course of action in battling this yeast overgrowth? My diet! I had a diet high in refined food and sugar (yeasts favorite food!); it was time for me to cut out every form of sugar I had ever known and anything with yeast in it. In case you don’t know – that’s really hard to do! Impossible actually if God had not prepared my heart for it first. Instead of begrudging the changes I needed to make, I embraced them and got excited to share these changes with my family and everyone I know. During this time (Mike) was introduced to
‘The Feast’ through a friend at work, and we quickly saw the many benefits it had to offer.

You can just imagine our excitement, a convenient, easy, tasty way to get great live whole food nutrition in a drink! We were so impressed we knew we needed to be a part of the company and share this with others. Never have we come across a company with so much integrity and passion for their products and the people they are providing for. Uri LeBaron of Uri International is a second generational farmer who has foresight into the nutritional needs of people. We are excited to be sharing in his success as he prepares to launch his products globally.

The more we learn of the deterioration of our food supply the more important
Uri International's products become to us. We will be talking further about how our food has changed over the last 100 years and how it is affecting each one of us personally. It’s enough to make you shudder and then come back wanting to know more!
